Name: Arctus
Height: 130 meters
Weight: 200,000 tons
Description: Arctus is a tall, burly, towering mountain of a Beast – a sight that instills awe. Covered head-to-toe in thick white fur, Arctus wears a golden mask over his horned skull – a mask whose jaw is separated from his actual jaw to allow him to open his mouth. His eyes are completely cyan blue and his claws black. Arctus wields a wooden, spiked club reinforced by metal strips. He has a short, stubby tail dragging behind him, which is armed with a dangerous thagomizer at its tip.
Personality: Arctus is the mysterious ruler and guardian of Himmelen, the dimension where Beasts and Colossian creatures find themselves after death. Spending his time in a tranquil vigil and training, he never speaks, and, as such, only a few things are at all known about him. He typically only appears outside of Himmelen in times of great need, though his presence may be felt in the world if he chooses to manifest himself there. His presence empowers allies and intimidates opponents.
Powers and Abilities:- Boss Bison, The Final Bosson: Simply put, everything that lives in the natural world can be influenced by Arctus, including spirits. He shares a bond with the natural world, as well as a strong bond with the nature spirits, who communicate with him, allowing him to be practically omniscient. He is aware of all that goes on around the world and is also aware of how healthy the world is thanks to the bond he shares with it. If something is wrong, he will immediately be aware of it. Arctus’ powers over the natural world extend to lifeforms and life forces themselves. Though he cannot create life on his own, he can augment them to help, be it rendering them stronger and healing their wounds or blessing them, such as the ability he gave the Colossian creatures to be capable of understanding any lifeform they communicate with and augmenting some Colossians so that they became Giants. While technically capable of imposing his will on living creatures, he prefers not to do it for the most part.
- Elemental Expert: Created by combining the strongest nature spirit to be found of each of nature’s elements, Arctus is a master at harnessing the elements of nature, from flame/plasma, water, wind and thunder to earth and the plants. The whole natural world is at his command. Not even fellow Beasts are capable of winning against him for the control of an element once his mind is already grasping at it. He is not harmed by the elements either; they simply bounce off his form without even scratching him. Arctus can use golden energy that no other Beast is capable of using, one that regroups the damaging properties of the elements together. Manifesting itself in the form of golden light that he can project into rays or projectiles, it burns like fire, flows like water, shocks like lightning, packs the force of a thrown boulder and blows foes back as though a gust of wind has taken them.
- Immortality: When regular Beasts are defeated, their body simply reforms unless their Blood is absorbed by another Beast. When Arctus is defeated, however, no Beast can absorb his Blood – not that they would even dare to begin with, given Arctus’ importance in Himmelen and Colossus. Arctus will always rise again. He is also unaffected by aging.
- Inspiring Presence: Allies of Arctus are empowered by his presence, lending them a small boost in power. His enemies are the opposite, weakened by the same amount.
- Mana Manip: Flowing through the Beast Blood is a spiritual energy known as mana, which allows Beasts to effectively use their powers. Arctus is capable of absorbing the mana from other Beasts to empower his own, strengthening himself and his abilities.
- Master’s Call: With a fierce roar of a loud, deep, unearthly sound, Arctus can summon creatures, living or ghosts, to aid him in combat. The roar itself freezes enemies in place, low frequencies paralyzing them in fear.
- Melee Master: Arctus, no different than any individual of the Beastkind, is physically a powerhouse, well able to single-handedly shove around creatures far heavier than he is. Regularly training to sharpen his combat skills, he knows many tactics and complex combat moves. He is a masterful melee fighter, particularly skilled with the usage of his club. Although the wooden weapon may be seen as the bigger threat, his other natural weapons – horns, claws, tail and the thagomizer at its tip – are just as dangerous. Arctus, again true to Beastkind, is a tough cookie, perfectly capable of taking the most powerful attacks enemies have to offer without so much as blinking. Foes should be careful when attacking him physically, as they may find their weapons entangled in his fur and in immediate proximity with Arctus’ personal space – which is no safe position to be in.
- Planewalker: Arctus is capable of phasing between the realms of the living and the dead at will, and can even project a ghostly manifestation of himself upon the world while his physical self remains in Himmelen. Traveling through the planes allows him to phase in and out of the physical world to avoid attacks. While incapable of attacking unless he at least partially phases himself, he can still fight with the help of his elemental powers or craftiness on his part, such as throwing his club at his foe and phasing it so that it does hit while he himself is safe. Should an enemy with similar powers attempt to follow him in Himmelen, they will simply find themselves warped back where they came from, as without the Right of Blood, none may enter Himmelen unless Arctus allows them.
- Spirit Healer: As the Beast who guides the spirits of the dead to Himmelen, he is also capable of healing spirits, as well as the creatures themselves, much like an Olgfolk. For example, he is the one who heals the spirits of corrupted and undead Colossian creatures.
- Hiding from Arctus is extremely difficult, if not impossible, thanks to his sharp senses and ability to sense lifeforms.
- Tough paw pads allow him to walk on slippery surfaces without falling and allow him to stop weapons with his palms and feet alone without hurting himself.
Weaknesses:- Arctus is responsible for keeping Colossus safe from invaders beyond its borders, but his powers can be weakened or negated entirely by creatures of the void.
- Though he has a good amount of immunities and resistances, he is still a living, breathing creature, and as such, can still be harmed by what would hurt a being aside from elemental damage, such as choking or outbleeding himself.
